Instructions for participating in The Fat Saturday Parade of Fools:
Participating in the Fat Saturday Parade of Fools is simple and fun! Does your group, organization, or business want to build a float, decorate a car, or organize a walking entry? Well, we’ve put together some general guidelines for participation (aptly named General guidelines for parade entries), and even have instructions for parade drivers and instructions for parade walkers for you too. In case you want to see detailed maps of our route and where the barricades are set up, here are the parade route map and the barricade map. Download all forms below:

To simplify things we have now created an online registration form:
VOLUNTEER
It takes a lot of time, organization, and manpower to put together a parade, and we’ve been doing it for 24 years. To make our parade run smoothly, we need LOTS of help! Can we borrow you for just a little while? You can still see and participate in the parade, too. We need barricade workers (to keep the peoples safe), staging assistants (no, we’re not putting on a play, we mean helping to organize and run the parking lot where the parade starts), and even walkers in the parade itself! And if you want to help put up flyers, do our hair and makeup, or buy us lunch, we won’t argue with you. Okay, kidding. We probably will.

Help us keep the fun alive by sponsoring and participating in the Fayetteville Mardi Gras events! The Saturday parade is a fun and colorful child and family-friendly event that brings hundreds of people out for the costumes, floats, and beads. The Fat Tuesday event is an adults-only celebration in the clubs on Dickson Street. Show your support by sponsoring at one of the following levels:
- GREEN – $50
- Your business name and/or logo listed as a sponsor on our website and Facebook page (nearly 3,000 fans!)
- PURPLE – $75
- Your business name and/or logo listed as a sponsor on our website and Facebook page (nearly 3,000 fans!)
- Free parade entry for your float (1 vehicle)
- GOLD – $100
- Your business name and/or logo listed as a sponsor on our website and Facebook page and LINKED to your site
- Free parade entry for up to 2 vehicles
- ROYAL SUPPORTER – $300
- Your business name/logo prominently displayed all pages and advertising and LINKED to your site
- Free parade entry for up to 3 vehicles
