In 1995, Queen Coleen reigned in tandem with Craig Mauritson and Cindi Story. Queen Coleen, up from New Orleans (not yet fully retired), arrived complete with her famous shopping cart.  The Billy Zydeco Band was augmented with Coleen’s family drum corp.  Dinner was held at Jackson’s and the Krewe hit the street with about 200 second-liners in tow.

Energy was high, the clubs were packed  and Dickson Street was hopping.  That tiny, hometown Mardi Gras of 4 years ago was gone for good.
